Synod of Bishops

Il Sinodo dei vescovi è un’istituzione permanente del Collegio episcopale della Chiesa, istituito da papa Paolo VI nel 1965. I membri   sono eletti dai loro confratelli, nominati dal Papa. Possono anche partecipare dei non vescovi, invitati per le proprie competenze o per altre ragioni di opportunità.

The Synod of Bishops is a permanent institution of the Episcopal College of the Church, established by Pope Paul VI in 1965. Its members are elected by their fellow bishops or appointed by the Pope. Non-bishops, invited for their expertise or for other reasons of expediency, may also participate.
