“We are very happy about Pope Francis’ visit to Mongolia”, said Mr Antonio Lissoni, President of aifo , on Tuesday, 22 August. “ aifo has been present in the country for 32 years and we are really proud of the work we have done because it shows how the models and programmes we adopt are able to bring concrete results not only to our protagonists — we don’t want to call them beneficiaries — but also to government and civil society”. aifo (Italian Association Amici di Raoul Follereau) is a Non-Governmental Organisation that promotes international health cooperation initiatives and works with communities in the most disadvantaged areas.
