‘I never feel alone when I am on my bicycle’

The bicycle that I will ride at the Cycling World Championships in Glasgow on Sunday, 6 August, will be auctioned and all the proceeds will be donated entirely to the Santa Marta paediatric dispensary in the Vatican, which assists 500 poor families with young children. Athletica Vaticana’s Cycling team has put a lot of preparation into the departure for Glasgow. We are all really excited to represent Athletica Vaticana for the second year in a row in the Cycling World Championship, after the wonderful experience we had in Wollongong, Australia, in September 2022. In collaboration with the Archdiocese of Glasgow, Athletica Vaticana is scheduled to meet fragile people in the “Ozanam” Centre on Saturday, 5 August, in order to witness Pope Francis’ fraternal and inclusive sporting vision, in action.
