Day against Trafficking
Walking for Dignity is the theme chosen for the IX World Day of Prayer and Reflection against the Trafficking of Persons promoted by the International Unions of Superiors and Superiors General. The date is February 8, the liturgical memorial of St Josephine Bakhita, a Sudanese nun, who as a child had the dramatic experience of slavery and became the universal symbol of the Church’s commitment against trafficking.
