“Synodality is the Name of the Church”.

On Saturday, February 5 in Florence, at the Convent of the Franciscan Friars Minor, the Consecrated Life meeting will take place. The title Synodality is the Name of the Church will be held in the perspective of the synodal path that the Church has undertaken and in the context of the XXV World Day of Consecrated Life.

Women in Hindu communities

Oltre lo stereotipo: la donna nell’induismo fra apparenti paradossi e stratificate complessità” [Beyond the Stereotype: Women in Hinduism amidst Apparent Paradoxes and Layered Complexities] is the title of the lecture that Professor Maria Angelillo, Professor of Hindi Language and Indian Culture at the University of Milan, will give on Monday, February 7, as part of the series “Le religioni e la donna” [Religions and Women] in Genoa in the Sala del Maggior Consiglio of Palazzo Ducale.

World Day of Prayer and Reflection against Human Trafficking

“The Power of Care - Women, Economy, Human Trafficking” is the theme chosen for the 8th World Day of Prayer and Reflection against Human Trafficking. The event is promoted by the International Unions of Superiors and Superiors General and coordinated by Talitha Kum, the international network committed to the fight against human trafficking.

February 8 is the date, when we celebrate the liturgical memory of St Josephine Bakhita, a Sudanese nun, who as a child had the tragic experience of slavery and who has become the universal symbol of the Church’s commitment against trafficking.

On Sunday, February 6, there is a coordinated march in Rome from Castel Sant’Angelo to St Peter’s Square to participate in the Angelus.

On February 8, there will be an online prayer and reflection marathon.
