Holy Father stopped by record store

On Tuesday afternoon, 11 January, Pope Francis made a surprise visit to the premises of “Stereosound”, an old record shop in Rome’s Via della Minerva, near the Pantheon to bless the newly renovated premises. The Holy Father had met the owners of the shop when he was Archbishop and used to stay in the Casa del Clero in the nearby Via della Scrofa during his visits to Rome. Arriving at around 7 pm in a white Fiat 500L, Pope Francis soon attracted the attention of passers-by. He took time to look around inside the shop for around ten minutes and, by the time he was prepared to leave, a small crowd had gathered to film his exit.
