On October 20, Two New Saints
Beatified in 1984 by Pope John Paul II, Elodia Virginia Paradis will be canonized on October 20, 2024. She was born on May 12, 1840, in Acadia, a village now in the province of Quebec, Canada, and is the founder of the Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Holy Family to assist priests in their work and ordinary life. On the same day, Elena Guerra will also be canonized. Born in Lucca on June 23, 1835, she is the founder of the Congregation of the Oblates of the Holy Spirit, also known as the Sisters of Saint Zita.
New Academic Year
On October 10, the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (APRA) will inaugurate the new academic year 2024-2025 with a ceremony at the Giovanni Paul II Auditorium. Antonio Suetta, Bishop of the Diocese of Ventimiglia – Sanremo, will participate.
