‘Kordon’ documentary to be shown in cities bordering Ukraine

Kordon is a documentary film directed by Alice Tomassini that tells the story of five women volunteers working to aid Ukrainian refugees as they flee the war-stricken country through a train station at the Ukraine-Hungary border. Co-produced by Vatican Media and Tenderstories, Kordon held its world premiere at the 2022 Rome International Film Festival and its European premiere at the 2022 UK Film Festival, where it won the award for “Best Documentary”. With the support of volunteers and Italian Cultural Institutes abroad, the documentary begins its tour of screenings on 16 December in Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Moldova, and Romania, cities and regions that border Ukraine and that have played vital roles in helping refugees escape.
