During their General Assembly in Baltimore, Maryland, the Bishops of the United States elected Archbishop Timothy Broglio and Archbishop William Lori as president and vice-president, respectively, of the USCCB.

Archbishop Broglio, currently serving as the USCCB secretary, and Archbishop Lori, who is presently chairman of the USCCB’s Committee on Pro-Life Activities, were elected on 15 November.

The two top officers succeed Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles and Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron of Detroit, who are concluding their three-year terms as Conference president and vice president, respectively.
