Women and the Bible at the Abbey of Maguzzano


From 15 to 17 July, at the Abbey of Maguzzano, near Lake Garda, a meeting is being held on the theme, Women and the Bible: Paths, Workshops, Perspectives. The encounter is promoted by the Leopoldina Naudet Library of the Institute of the Sisters of the Holy Family.

Participating theologians include Adriana Valerio, Marinella Perroni, Cristina Frescura, Arianna Rotondo and Cristina Simonelli.

Assisi, ecumenical formation


From 24 to 30 July, the 58th Session of Ecumenical Formation, promoted by the Secretariat of Ecumenical Activities (SAE) - APS entitled In Dark Times, Dare Hope; The words of faith in the succession of generations. An Ecumenical Research.

Anniversaries. It is 120 years since the death of Maria Goretti. 

On 6 July 1902, Maria Goretti died at Nettuno in Lazio, Italy. She was murdered following an attempted rape by an 18-year-old young man, Alessandro Serenelli. She was 12 years old. She was beatified in 1947 and proclaimed a saint in 1950 by Pope Pius XII.
