The Holy Father has written the preface to a book by Presbyterian Minister Marcelo Figueroa, entitled, “Reconciled Diversity: A Protestant in the Pope’s Newspaper”. Presented on Monday, 14 March, in the Vatican’s Sala Marconi and published by the Vatican Publishing House, the author’s new book is a chronological collection of articles and interviews published by Figueroa in L’Osservatore Romano. The author addresses numerous topics linked by the common thread of the ecumenical journey among the different Churches. “It is with great joy that I receive this literary work”, writes Pope Francis, “which at first glance looks more like a book on dialogue between religions, but in which one discovers, as one goes through it, almost an ecumenical pilgrimage: genuine, personal, and, above all, spiritual”.
