Diocese of Rajshahi prints first book on the patron saint of the Church in local language

“Saint Joseph: Protector of the family and of the universal Church” is the title of the first book published in Bengali on the putative father of Jesus in the special year dedicated to him. The 140 pages, edited by the “Protibeshi Prokashani” cultural section of the Christian Communications Centre, comprise seven chapters that illustrate the values, teachings and miracles of Mary’s bridegroom. The author is a young priest from Bangladesh, Fr Johon Minto Ray, principal of Saint Louis High School in the parish of Mariabad and the Diocese of Rajshahi, whose initiative has been greatly appreciated by nuns, priests and faithful given the total absence of in-depth texts and publications on Saint Joseph in this language.
