A fraternal friendship

Pope Francis sent a congratulatory letter to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I as he marks the 30th anniversary of his election as the Archbishop of Constantinople. In his letter, Pope Francis recalled Patriarch Bartholomew’s presence at his installation as the Bishop of Rome in March 2013, and said their bond has “become a fraternal friendship”.
