The small flock

 The small flock ING-038
17 September 2021
In his greeting to Pope Francis, Bishop András Veres of Győr, President of Hungary’s Episcopal Conference, reassured the Pope of the bishops’ commitment to strengthen Christian families, for which, he said, they had prayed greatly. Our most urgent task, he added, is to proclaim the Good News of Christ, helped by the small but faithful community of faithful who persevered in their faith throughout the persecution of the Church. Together with them, Bishop Veres explained, we are trying to carry out the new evangelization. Despite the low number of vocations to the priesthood and to religious life, we try to make Sunday Mass available to everyone, he concluded.
