The Holy Father sent a message signed on his behalf by Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, to the President of the Centre for Liturgical Action, Bishop Claudio Maniago, on the occasion of Italy’s 71st National Liturgical Week, held on 23-26 August in Cremona. The following is a translation of the Pope’s words which were read out loud by the Bishop at the opening of the event.
