When charity unites

· Cardinal Sarah announces funding for an agricultural project in Cuba ·

“Cor Unum” will fund a new project for the agricultural development in two dioceses in Cuba. These projects are the very fruit of Benedict XVI's Visit to the Caribbean Island. The Pope brought along in his entourage Cardinal Robert Sarah, President of the Pontifical Council “Cor Unum”, precisely to arrange with the Cuban Bishops future interventions to help the people. “We have identified two possible areas where we can intervene”, the Cardinal explained in an interview given to our newspaper, without naming the two Bishops involved, “and now we are waiting for a project which we will fund as a concrete expression of the Pope's charity for the needs of the Cuban people”. The prelate underlined the true meaning of Christian charity as witness by the Pontiff in every moment during the “intense spiritual visit”.
