The way of forgiveness
· Peace between Muslims and Christians after an attack in Faisalabad ·
“This is the first time in the history of the city that 60 Muslims apologise in public for their violent acts and promise not to offend verbally Christians living peacefully. I thank all the Christian leaders who supported us on this path of reconciliation”. This was stated by Robin Daniel, President of the National Minorities Alliance of Pakistan, who spoke to AsiaNews about the “extraordinary” result of the negotiations that peacefully — even with an apology from the Muslim community — brought an end to the violent episodes, in which Christians of Faisalabad’s Khushal Town neighbourhood (in the Pakistani province of Punjab) were attacked by a group of Muslims two weeks ago.
