Two exemplary Christians

· John XXIII and John Paul II ·

On Friday morning, 5 July, Pope Francis approved the votes in favour of the Canonization of Blessed John XXIII, from the ordinary session of cardinals and bishops, and decided to convene a Consistory to examine the Canonization of Blessed John Paul II.

This decision was announced during an audience granted to Cardinal Angelo Amato, Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, during which the Pope authorized the promulgation of decrees concerning the recognition of attributed miracles, one to the intercession of Blessed John Paul II, one to the intercession of the Venerable Servant of God Álvaro del Portillo, Prelate of Opus Dei, and one attributed to the intercession of the Venerable Servant of God, Esperanza de Jesús.
