· The Pope to Patrons of the Vatican Museums ·
The artistic treasures preserved in the Vatican Museums bear witness to the “spiritual aspirations of humanity, the sublime mysteries of the Christian faith, and the quest of that supreme beauty which has its source and fulfillment in God”. This was pointed out by Pope Francis Saturday morning, 19 October, in the Clementine Hall, to the Patrons of the Arts, an association of Catholic benefactors who for the past 30 years have made important contributions to the restoration and preservation of the artistic patrimony of the Holy See.
