"The power of women" in Rome

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation (on the occasion of the annual meeting with the arts and politics taking place on Ash Wednesday) and the Institut français - Centre Saint-Louis – have chosen to question the presence and role of women in society, offering three days Film and reflection for February 13 to 15 at the centre of San Luigi dei Francesi in Rome. Three films that will be presented: Kriegerin ( The Fighter , 2011) by the German David Wnendt, Touching the wall (2012) by Italy's Silvia Giralucci and Crawl (2012) by the Frenchman Hervé Lasgouttes. In addition to screenings, on the afternoon of February 13, a seminar will be held entitled "The strength of women", which will be attended by, among others, the historians Lucetta Scaraffia and Anna Foa, the artist Vanessa von Wendt and the two directors of refuge institutions, Katja Christina Plate and Nicolas Bauquet.
