The Sisters of Solidarity with South Sudan aggressed

In the January issue of women church world we interviewed Sister Yudith Pereira Rico, in charge of the international office of Solidarity with South Sudan, an association of male and female congregations that seeks to provide aid in the face of the enormous needs of this African country. Unfortunately, just as this piece went out, the Solidarity Teacher Training College in Yambio was attacked by five armed men in search of money, weapons, mobile phones and computers. They were violently aggressive towards the sisters. In war zones women once again remain the preferred victims.
