A group of children were the first to wish a happy birthday to Pope Francis, who turns 77 on 17 December. It was a simple and joyful party, like so many families have. Now lots of messages and prayers are coming in from people around the world, believers and non-believers alike. And in keeping with tradition, we at L'Osservatore Romano would like to join them in sending the Holy Father our warmest wishes.
