“Christmas celebrations are often full of sound. It would be good for us to make room for silence, to hear the voice of Love. ”. This is how Pope Francis wants us to ready our hearts to fully celebrate the birth of Christ. The message was launched Monday, 23 December, through the Twitter account @pontifex. It is an invitation that expresses his wish that this Christmas 2013 be for all an occasion to come back to what is essential in life, to the little manger where it all began.
L'Osservatore Romano, which will resume publishing in print and online on 27 December, joins in this wish for all our readers. And we would like to remind all that Christmas celebrations presided by the Pope can be viewed live at news.va.
