· ​Taliban attack Turkish convoy ·

The capital of Afghanistan is gripped by terror. This morning a suicide bomber targeted a convoy of vehicles carrying employees of the Embassy of Turkey. A Turkish citizen died and another was wounded. According to Pajhwok Afghan News, the attack took place near the Embassy of Iran, which is centrally located in the city. The Afghan Vice-Minister of the Interior, Ayub Salangi, confirmed that the bomber aimed at the convoy of cars from the Turkish embassy, located near the Iranian Embassy. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack which targeted the “foreign forces." It is the first time that Turkey has been hit by an attack in Afghanistan. The explosion was very strong, stated Pajhwok Afghan News, damaging not only the two cars with Turkish plates, but many others nearby. It is possible that the death toll rises in the coming hours.
