Innovation for the UISG

The International Union of Superiors General (UISG) has just welcomed a new member on its staff, Claudia Giampetro, a lay woman who holds a doctorate in Canon Law from the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas and isan International Fellow at the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID). After meeting so many women religious who contributed to her human, cultural and spiritual development in various ways, Giampetro – who holds the role of formation assistant – decided to work at the UISG in order to contribute to promoting the consecrated life in the world, especially in the field of formation. In the meantime, a few days ago the UISG’s Twitter account communicated that for the first time it had held an online meeting between delegates from around the world using the multimedia room in its central headquarters in Rome. “This really is a special time for us”.
