If the newspapers are changing the name of paedophilia

For some time, the Italian judiciary has been investigating a sex trafficking that took place in Rome where adult men abused, in exchange for money, two minors aged 14 and 15 years. The facts are already serious in their substance, but what is striking is the way in which, almost unanimously, the Italian press recounts them, constantly adding new details. Although the two have an age that makes them fall fully within the Lanzarote Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse, the newspapers continue to speak of “baby ring”. Yet adults who have sex with children and teenagers are, without a shadow of a doubt, paedophiles.
