My thoughts go at this time to the beloved peoples of Pakistan, recently afflicted by a serious flood that has taken a heavy toll of life and left many families homeless.
As I entrust to God's merciful goodness all those who have been tragically lost, I express my spiritual closeness to their relatives and to everyone who is suffering because of this disaster. May these brothers and sisters of ours, so harshly tried, not lack our solidarity and the practical support of the International Community!
