Decalogue for the Year of Faith

· Suggestions by U.S. Bishops ·

Washington,26. Participation in the sacraments, prayers, charity work, reading the Bible and the documents of the Councils. These are just a few of the 10 suggestions on the list of actions to witness the faith indicated by the Bishops of the United States for the beginning of the Year of Faith  starting on 11 October. This special celebration, established by Benedict XVI, offers a unique opportunity to renew the faith and to promote evangelization, underlined Bishop David Laurin Ricken of Green Bay, President of the Committee on Evangelization and Catechesis. The Year of Faith strives to promote a personal encounter with Jesus realized by way of the Eucharist, the Bishop says.
