These were the themes at the centre of the cordial meeting between Benedict XVI and Mr Mario Monti, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, who came on a private visit on Monday, 27 August, to the Apostolic Palace in Castel Gandolfo, where he also meet with Cardinale Tarcisio Bertone, Secretary of State.
