Breastfeeding excluded from medicine

"It was clear that none of the doctors or nurses knew what was going on " Colleen Kelly, a young mother with breastfeeding problems told the US magazine “Time” In the article by Lisa Selin Davis - Is the Medical Community Failing Breastfeeding Moms? – it is claimed that, probably, breastfeeding is the only function of the human body on which modern medicine does not provide any type of information. So when a mother has trouble of this sort she is invited to try harder, or simply to give up. There is no diagnosis, the "fault" is somehow pushed on to woman aggravating the problem and adding yet an extra weight in such a delicate and crucial moment as that of the first few months of the infant's life. If you are lucky, at most, the new mother is helped by the practical advice of midwives, but they do not have the expertise needed to detect possible problems in women.
